Familial Relationships: Siblings, Cousins, Second Cousins

Question
Are we siblings if our families don't know each other, and we don't have any relation since my grandfather's father, but we share the same surname? — Mk, India
Answer

Siblings share the same parents.

If you do not share the same parents, but you share the same grandparents, you are first cousins.

If you do not share the same grandparents, but you share the same great grandparents, you are second cousins.
